And that is precisely what Angelique Buitenhuis aims to achieve with her flight school — making this dream come true for as many people as possible.
Zelf Vliegen established itself at Lelystad Airport over thirty years ago. It all started as a dream, almost like an “American Dream,” as it was in the United States where Angelique first experienced aviation with hang gliding! Her aviation dream continued in the Netherlands. What she did in America, she also recommends to those interested in becoming pilots, “For example, start with a trial lesson.” At Zelf Vliegen, this is also possible; after an explanation and under the guidance of an instructor, you step into a training aircraft to fly on your own. The trial lesson immediately introduces you to the professionalism of the instructor and the teaching methods.
